The FUMC Youth group designed and made a Mosaic to go in the front of the church. Please join us on November 22nd at 10:45 for a presentation that tells about the meaning of the mosaic design.
Faith United Methodist Church
The Mosaic takes its place in front of the church on a beautiful Sunday morning. It depicts Jesus destroying walls that divide us from God and us from one another.
Within the picture are the words "Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for," "By my stripes I heal you" (In the wall) "On this rock...one" (in black bricks falling from the wall) "Bind up the broken" (in the heart to the left")and "Let my prayers rise like incense" in the blue of the flame on the right. The flame is being lit by seven hands holding seven purple candles.
Sunday Night a painting by scripture party was held. We started by squirting paint of different colors on the canvas. It was called the 'junk" in our lives. Then we added white paint to symbolize Jesus in our lives. We added a rock and a cross and a small red jewel to the cross. It was a great night of fellowship and fun! Here are just a few examples of the amazing paintings. Thank you Connie for leading us on this journey.
'Twas the LIGHT Before Christmas play will be presented on Sunday December 13th at 10:45am. If you would like to join please be to the church by 9am to practice.
